The Jouska String Quartet has been awarded First Prize at the Mirabent Magrans International Chamber Music Competition in Sitges in November 2025, and the Café Bauhaus Award 2024, presented by the European Union Youth Orchestra with the support of the European Commission, for their project Dos Miradas. The award celebrates outstanding musical performance addressing global issues such as climate change, sustainability, gender equality, diversity, equity, and inclusion. The official presentation took place at the Fundación Carlos de Amberes in Madrid.

They regularly perform in concerts organized by the Swiss Foundation for Young Musicians, the Mimiko Concert Series at Basel’s Elisabethenkirche, and other prestigious venues in Switzerland. In Spain, their recent performances at the Festival Música no Claustro in Tui and the Concerts d’Aro Festival in Santa Cristina d’Aro have received widespread acclaim. 

The quartet is an ensemble in residence at the Proyecto Musical Villa de Lerma Chamber Music Festival. Founded in 2023 and based in Basel, the quartet is pursuing a master’s degree under the mentorship of distinguished musicians: Anna Gebert, Rainer Schmidt, and Anton Kernjak.

They have been selected by MusaE to perform in the 2024/2025 season at the Museo del Romanticismo in Madrid, invited by AIE Sociedad de Artistas Intérpretes o Ejecutantes for the Clásicos en Ruta 2025 concert series in Lugo, León, Albacete, Mérida. Ciudad Real, and participated in the Walter Levin-Tage für Streichquartette with Jörg Widmann and led by Saiko Sasaki and Rainer Schmidt. The quartet is a member of the Accademia Stauffer di Cremona and the European chamber music network Le Dimore del Quartetto. It was recently selected for the MERITA Platform.

The members of the Jouska Quartet have received advices from internationally renowned artists including Silvia Simionescu, Denes Varjon, and the Quartetto di Cremona.
